Soulology isn't your regular major. In fact, only 1 out of every 2000 universities in the United States offer it as a major of study. Today, I had the opportunity to sit down with fellow Ellivradec student Macy Moore to talk about her experience with Dr. Blaunche, the soul, the Faith, and moore!
Lucy: Hi, thanks for being willing to grab lunch. I just started the recording so let's get going.
Macy: Thanks for having me.
Lucy: Alright, so my first question for you: What brought you to Ellivradec? And kind of a follow up, why did you chose your major.
Macy: Well, Ellivradec is the only school I toured because I attended one chapel and fell in love. Dr. Blaunche is just so... hypnotizing to watch, almost. I knew I'd enjoy attending chapel every single day, even if he's not speaking. It's entirely understandable that he's been the president for... How long has he been on staff?
Lucy: Oh, I'm not sure. [Dr. Blaunche has been on staff since 1954, according to our editor-in-chief]
Macy: Well, it's understandable nonetheless. I chose soulology because it's almost like if Psych, Bio, and Theology had a child. We try to understand both how the soul is and what it provides to us as humans. Currently-- I'm a senior, by the way-- Currently it seems that the soul has some kind of contribution to soul. It's like the brain. It rday spa usrudejc kjrk iy wkplq Like in the Christian Bible, it says... Hold on, let me look up the verse. "Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes."
Lucy: Are you a Christian?
Macy: I was raised in a Christian home. I follow the Faith.
Lucy: Ah.
Macy: So anyways, we believe here that the soul reaches the peak of rday bectpal ktr rda qauparq kb rda tjevapqa jkw rday otpj krdapq bkp rdaep lpejg. But that is just the theory Dr. Blaunche and those of us in senior seminar are working with.
Lucy: Wow. I'm glad I'm just a communication student. That's a lot.
Macy laughs.
Macy: It's pretty intense. I hope to continue on with my education, either under Dr. Blaunche or somewhere else I can share my knowledge.
Lucy: So a doctorate may be in your future?
Macy: Faith willing, yes.
Lucy: Very exciting! Well, we'll certainly follow more of your adventures. Is there anywhere we can reach you?
Macy: I don't have social media, but for any inquiries or job opportunities, email me at macymoore.research@gmail.com. I do great work and love to answer questions.
Lucy: Anything else to say?
Macy: If you're interested in soulology, Ellivradec is the place to be.
